To provide a variety of experiential opportunities to enhance academic experience and prepare students for the workforce. These experiences include professional seminars, internships, cooperative education, community service, off-campus jobs, work-study, networking opportunities, career counseling and career education.
The Five Towns College Office of Career Services and Experiential Learning is staffed by ambitious, knowledgeable, and caring personnel who continually strive to achieve the following goals:
•To enhance student awareness, preparation and appreciation of career activities and related work opportunities.
•To develop effective career strategies and resources to assist students in obtaining employment.
•To develop experiential opportunities that are linked to the student’s career objectives.
•To provide experiential learning opportunities to students through such offerings as internships, work-study assignments, community service, cooperative education, student teaching assignments, and study abroad.
•To develop and maintain contacts with individuals and organizations in the private, non-profit and public sectors that facilitate experiential learning opportunities.
•To establish and maintain databases and materials that facilitate the matching of student with experiential learning opportunities
