Clubs and Organizations


Student Government Association (SGA)

The Student Government Association acts as a liaison between the student body of Five Towns College and faculty and administration to help voice the concerns of the student body. The Student Government works with the administration of Five Towns College to further improve student life. The Student Government manages and allocates Student Activities funding for club budgets and campus activities.


The Corner Pocket

Advisor - Kristi Reis

Mission: To bring the entire FTC student body together to enjoy the game of billiards. The Corner Pocket holds bi-weekly tournaments in hopes of involving anyone interested in having a good time. In addition, it provides instruction for members and non-members alike.


Music Education Club

Faculty Advisor - Alfred S. Townsend

Mission: To afford students, both in their major area of study as well as in the entire school, an opportunity for professional orientation and development as well as the understanding of truths and principles underlying music in life; the philosophy and function of music education and the knowledge and practices of professional music educators. To gain this knowledge, the Music Education Club organizes lectures, roundtable discussions, community service projects, and other informal opportunities for professional development.


Caribbean Connect

Faculty Advisor - Dr. Michael Maneri

Mission: To vastly expose West Indian culture at Five Towns College. Caribbean Connect is an organization that strives to have all Caribbean nationalities, as well as those of Caribbean heritage fully represented on campus. Caribbean Connect also caters to all students that have a desire to learn and experience the true vibes of the West Indies. This organization prides itself in embodying the true spirit of the Caribbean. All prospective members should know that in order to have a satisfying dose of the Caribbean, you have to get connected!


Music Business Club

Mission: The mission of this club is to unite students through music. The club will expose students to all aspects of the music industry. Working together, students can utilize their skills to acquire new information, create new friends and educate themselves and peers of the music industry.



Latinos Unidos

Faculty Advisor - Dr. William Isaacson

Mission: To bring knowledge of the Latino communities and culture to the student body. Latinos Unidos strives to develop educational, social and cultural programs that are open to all students. The organization is also committed to presenting and exposing the student body to professional development opportunities for Hispanics in the entertainment industry and in other employment areas.



Hip Hop Club - E.N.S.
(Elements of the New School)

Faculty Advisor - Steven Wade

Mission: The Hip Hop Club is established to broaden students views on all elements of the Hip Hop culture and increase the knowledge and appreciation of this popular genre. The Hip Hop Club creates an environment where students can participate in school and club activities in an educational setting.


Future Film Creators

Faculty Advisor - Thomas Calandrillo

Mission: Future Film Creators Club provides an opportunity for Five Towns students to participate in the process of film-making, whether it's acting, creating soundtracks, writing screenplays, video taping etc. We are an "Entertainment Club". We also host an annual formal. Our main goal is to bring the student body together through film, video and entertainment.



Broadcasters Club

Faculty Advisor - Leslie Bielanski

Mission: The purpose of the The Broadcasters Club is to provide students with information about how the industry works. Various guest speakers from the industry will be invited to share their experiences with the students. The Club seeks to provide students with opportunities for professional development by organizing field trips to radio stations, hold panel discussions, and conduct live broadcasting sessions at school functions. We hope The Broadcasters Club will be able to inform students and get them more interested in the Broadcasting field.



Intramurals Program

Faculty Advisor - Dennis Fields

Mission: The Office of Student Life and the Student Council offer a variety of recreational sports throughout the academic year for all matriculated students. Students are welcome to recommend the development of new programs and activities through the Student Council. Current programs consist of - Basketball, Ultimate Frisbee, Volleyball, Dodge Ball.
