Five Towns College Loves Harry Connick, Jr.!!

On February 23, 2017, a bus filled with about 40 Five Towns College students and staff headed for mid-town Manhattan to watch a live production of Harry, the Harry Connick, Jr. new talk show. With much appreciation to FTC alum and Producer, Amanda Rocco, Robin Patterson (Audience Producer, NBC Universal), Mass Communication Chair Tom Calandrillo, and the efforts of both Krysti O’Rourke and Ronnie MacDonald from The Career Center, a perfect synergy and daytrip was planned and underway.

From breakfast on the bus (courtesy of Charlie in The Upbeat) to Italian take-out on the bus, this scrumptious day of television celebrities included, not only Harry but also, his wife, Jill, Actress Carla Gugino, Comedian Billy Gardell and Veronica “Pooh” Nash-Poleate. Spending time with Amanda, Robin and their team and getting to know fellow students while experiencing a real, live and vibrant television production was an amazing educational day.
