Coach DiRico comes to FTC after spending 24 years at Dowling College. During his tenure there, Coach DiRico compiled an impressive 286-124-52 overall record helping to transform Dowling Men’s Soccer into an elite national title contender. The 2006 season saw Dowling Men’s Soccer win the NCAA Division II National Championship, Dowling’s first ever NCAA national title in any sport. During the decade 2001-2010 the program appeared in 6 NCAA final fours, including the 2006 National Championship as well as the 2008 National Final.

Coach DiRico has earned numerous personal accolades over his 24 seasons at the helm of the Dowling Men’s Soccer Program. He was the 2006 NSCAA Division II National Coach, the NSCAA Northeast Regional Coach of the year 3 times, and Conference Coach of the Year 9 times. He was also the recipient of the Bigapplesoccer.com college coach of the year award twice and its Person of the Year in 2006.

For his accomplishments during Dowling’s run to the National Championship in 2006 and his contributions to Long Island soccer, he was awarded the prestigious Adelphi University Woodruff Award in 2007.

Coach DiRico is a member of U.S. Soccer and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. He holds a U.S. Soccer National B Coaching License and is a former member of the NCAA Regional and National rankings and selection committees.
