Turning 85 on Long Island and Still Quacking!
Five Towns College thought the 43rd Commencement Exercises were a big deal! Well, that’s indisputable; but how about as a Suffolk County, NY institution we recognize other long established icons out here?
Having said that, it was learned that the famous Duck, in Flanders, just turned 85 years old! It was constructed back in 1931 and measures in at 20 feet tall by 30 feet long! This is nothing to quack about or is it truly something to quack about?
Anyway, from the heart of Long Island, in the great hamlet of Dix Hills, Five Towns College sends a resounding, “Quacky Birthday Duck!”
