FTC Broadway Bound Music of Andrew Lloyd Weber December 2014
There will be singing and dancing galore in this special performance, called “Broadway Bound: The Music of Andrew Lloyd Weber.”

Directed by Marie Danvers, Five Towns College’s talented theater professor, Five Towns College students will pour their hearts out on stage for an incredible night of great songs penned by the multi-Tony Award-winning composer Sir Andrew Lloyd Weber, whose work has made the lights of Broadway shine even brighter over the years.

Everybody knows Weber’s music, even if they don’t know that he was the composer.

Come hear songs like “All I Ask of You” from the longest running show on Broadway, “Phantom of the Opera,” and “Memory” from another Weber classic, “Cats,” as well as “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina” from the award-winning musical “Evita.”

All told this production will be drawing from 13 shows created by this legendary impresario of musical theatre.

Aside from lending her talents to her theater students at Five Towns College, Marie Danvers is perhaps best known for her starring turn as Christine in the Broadway and National Touring production of “The Phantom of the Opera” and Maria in “West Side Story.”

If you love hearing music from opera to rock, as well as watching ballet to tap dancing, you will love sharing this evening of song with us.
