Here at Five Towns College in Long Island, NY, we strive to create an atmosphere of community living in the residence halls that complements the FTC academic experience. Our residents come from diverse religious, ethnic, and social backgrounds, and our aim is to provide a campus-living experience that will help shape their individual experiences at Five Towns College.
Living on Campus
Living together with peers enriches the college educational and student development experience. All first-year residence hall students have access to double occupancy rooms. Single rooms may be granted to students who have, at least, a sophomore class standing and on a first-come, first-served basis. The Residence Life Office also offers single rooms to students with special needs providing proper documentation and upon availability. Click here for information related to housing costs, fees and the required meal plan for residence life students.
All student housing rooms are furnished with a bed, dresser, wardrobe or closet, desk and chair for each resident. Some rooms have additional amenities to meet special student needs. Common areas within the residence halls are also furnished with a variety of lounge furniture.
Each of the residence halls contains communal social lounges, laundry room facilities, local and long distance phone service (at an additional charge), voice mail, cable television and internet access. Security guards are stationed at the front entrance to the residence halls after 5pm, 7 days per week.
In addition, Five Towns College employs a full-time public safety staff for the safety and security of all its students.
FTC is unable to provide storage for student belongings over the summer or for students studying abroad during the academic year. The Office of Residence Life can provide information about private storage and moving companies.
