FTC Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with Latino Street Fair

By Rebecca Evangelist with additional reporting by Sydney Mountain

The Five Towns College community lived it up at the Latino Street Fair on Tuesday, September 20th, in the residential quad. Students and staff came together in the Residential Quad to mingle and learn more about the various Hispanic cultures in celebration of Hispanic Heritage month.

The participants were treated to a spread of Spanish delicacies such as pork, Spanish rice, and beef and veggie empanadas.  Some members of the Five Towns Sound Women’s and Men’s soccer teams attended and gathered to sing along to the different Latin Songs played throughout the event. Other students challenged each other to games of dominos,  a popular way that students relaxed at the event.

Hispanic Heritage month spans from September 15th to October 15th.
