Master and Doctoral Degrees
Five Towns College is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM) and offers several graduate programs. In addition to programs leading to Master’s degrees in Music (M.M.), Five Towns College is proud to offer the Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) degree. Both levels of graduate degrees offer students, who may already be professionals in the field, the opportunity to show their expertise with a credential that speaks volumes to their knowledge and experience.

The College offers graduate Master of Music degrees that include: Master of Music in Composition, Master of Music in Music Education, Master of Music in Music History, Master of Music in Music Technology and Master of Music in Performance. Opportunities to study Composition, Music Education, Music History, Performance or Music Technology give students deep content knowledge that can be used as they further their professional experiences and livelihood. The Master’s degree in Music Education provides individuals with a credential that is recognized in the world of education and allows them to pursue a myriad of teaching opportunities. The College is proud to offer the Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) degree. Five Towns College is pleased to offer four discrete programs at this level: (1) D.M.A. in Composition/Arranging; (2) D.M.A. in Music Education; (3) D. M.A. in Music History and Literature; and (4) D.M.A. in Music Performance.
