The days of women watching men play soccer are long gone . . . But, here at FTC, the men and women will finally get a chance to watch the women play soccer!! Introducing the FTC Sound Women’s Soccer Coach, Matthew Tennie, who is ready to lead this team!

Coach Matthew Tennie graduated from Farmingdale State College in 2011 with a B. S. degree in Business Management and a minor in Sports Management.  He played soccer at Farmingdale State College for four years and was, then, hired as an Assistant Coach for the Men’s Team for two seasons after that and, also, had the opportunity to assist with the Women’s team at Farmingdale State College. Further, He has been coaching youth soccer for nine (9) years and, currently, coaches with Brentwood NPL and South Huntington Youth Soccer Clubs.

He is an Athletic Performance Specialist and started to run a strength and conditioning business around that. He is certified as a: (1) Speed and agility specialist; (2) High School strength and conditioning specialist: (3) Youth fitness specialist; (4) Youth athletic assessment specialist; (5) Nutrition coach; and (6) Injury prevention specialist.

He is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Sports Management, too!
