B.F.A Film/Video
Ryan O’Leary graduated Five Towns College in 2011 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Film/Video. Currently, he is an Award-Winning Independent Filmmaker from New Jersey.
After a successful international festival run in 2014, his first feature film, The Backseat, acquired distribution with Osiris Entertainment and became available on various digital platforms. His most recent film, The Lost Weekend, screened at festivals across the United States, Europe, and Australia, picking up numerous awards along the way.
His films have starred Tony Award Winning actors such as André De Shields and Reed Birney, as well as SAG Award Winners Catherine Curtin and Robert Clohessy. Ryan currently has two feature films in development, The Lost Year and Searching for a Former Clarity.
Ryan has also directed music videos and several short films. One example is a fan film adaptation of the Vertigo Comic series Y The Last Man, and the horror-comedy Jesus Christ!
Ryan has won multiple awards at the Kent Film Festival and the Five Towns College Film Festival. He continues to be an engaging and entrepreneurial filmmaker.
