Digital Media and Entertainment Industry Studies!
Five Towns College announces the 2019 Summer High School Series: Digital Media and Entertainment Industry Studies commencing in July. Each summer @ FTC, high school students have an opportunity to explore exciting workshops and short-term programs. Technology is at the core of FTC’s academic programs and the summer is a perfect time to explore the college experience here. Courses in audio and radio broadcasting, digital imaging, television production, filmmaking, pop/rock/jazz ensembles, acting and musical theatre attract high school students who may want to sample these offerings before starting college classes.
Here are a few reasons why you should spend your summer at FTC:
- Hands-on Education
The Summer Series was designed to give high school students a taste of the technology-driven academics here at FTC. Students will gain experience working in either the TV studio, the audio recording console, or with high-end cinema cameras . . . or more! At the conclusion of the Summer Series, family and friends will be invited to view student projects and see performances. This is always a lot of fun and a culminating event!
- Professors
FTC’s accomplished faculty created the Summer Series with high school students in mind. The same professors who teach college level classes here also teach the high school summer classes. The experience will be stimulating and enriching!
- Affordable
The cost of the Summer Series ranges from just $475 to $950; but visit the brochure to see the full range of classes offered and the costs. Overall, Five Towns College offers an affordable option for students to test out a program in just about three weeks. Students can sample one or more programs to see which academic path is right for them!
