Exciting News for Transfer Students for 2026!
The Business Division now offers two degree options, each designed to support students at different stages of their educational journey:
1. New for 2026: Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business Administration
A comprehensive four-year degree designed to help students develop leadership, strategic thinking, communication, and analytical skills. The B.S. is designed to be exceptionally transfer-friendly, allowing new students to receive the highest possible amount of credit for previously completed coursework.
2. Associate of Science (A.S.) in Business Administration
A two-year degree that builds fundamental business knowledge and skills, while providing a seamless and clearly defined transition into the B.S. program for those who wish to continue.
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business Administration
A transfer-friendly pathway designed to help students earn a bachelor’s degree faster and with maximum credit.
The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration is designed to develop a broad foundation of business knowledge and the leadership, communication, and analytical skills needed to successfully manage and guide organizations. The curriculum provides a comprehensive overview of how various organizational departments function together, helping students identify opportunities and support organizational success.
Built for Transfer Students
The B.S. program has been structured to support students entering with completed coursework from other institutions—especially those transferring from community colleges or returning to complete a previously started degree. The program’s broad foundational courses and clearly defined upper-level sequence make it easy to leverage existing transfer credits.
Key features include:
- Generous acceptance of previously completed general education and introductory business courses
- Alignment with common community college business curricula, minimizing course duplication
- Personalized transfer credit evaluations to help place students at the most advanced level possible
- A clear upper-division sequence so students can move quickly into advanced coursework once foundational requirements are met
- A seamless direct-entry pathway for students completing FTC’s own A.S. in Business Administration
This structure ensures students receive the highest possible amount of credit for prior learning and can complete their bachelor’s degree efficiently.
