A theatrical journey with sweeping themes, “Angels in America” by the Pulitzer-Prize winning playwright Tony Kushner has been described as one of the greatest American plays of the last third of the 20th century. After it first opened on Broadway in 1993, it went on to win the Tony award for best play.

Against the backdrop of the AIDS crisis, Kushner weaves a tale about the moral obligations between people who love each other and the duty to forgive those who hate in order to find salvation in a changing world.

This production is directed by Dr. Kathy Curtiss, a film and video professor at Five Towns College and co-chair of the film division. She’s also the artistic director of Renaissance Now Theatre & Film, among her other projects.
