FIRST FRIDAYS @ The Heckscher Museum of Art Showcasing the Five Towns College Chamber Music Ensembles on May 1st.

Music at Five Towns College is taught and played in all genres. While jazz and contemporary music classes and programs are well known, there is also a strong presence and practice of classical and chamber music to be heard while walking through the hallways of this esteemed music, performing arts, and entertainment college.

It shouldn’t be that surprising, then, to learn that the Five Towns College Chamber Music Ensembles have been invited to perform at The Heckscher Museum of Art in Huntington, NY for National Chamber Music Month. Music Professor Gerry Saulter directs this group and the performances are always masterful!

Enjoy the beautiful sounds of chamber music performed by students from FTC’s Music Division while viewing the Museum’s Poised Poses exhibition on Friday, May 1st at 7:00 p.m. The Heckscher Museum of Art will be having extended viewing hours from 5:00-8:30 p.m., and admission is free. The Museum is located at 2 Prime Avenue, Huntington, off Route 25A, just a short drive from campus. Check out heckscher.org for additional information.

Spend Friday evening supporting your friends and classmates while you enjoy great local culture right here in Suffolk County in the heart of Long Island.
