The A Cappella Ensembles directed by Professor Marc Silverberg sang their hearts out and moved the entire audience with their upbeat renditions of contemporary tunes, “Uptown Funk,” “Ghost,” “Take Me to Church,” and other enjoyable songs. The FTC Gospel Choir made a surprise appearance (but headline Friday night May 8th @ the PAC) and the Long Island Sound Barbershop Chorus directed by FTC’s own Jeffrey Glemboski finished up with “Keep the Whole World Singing,” a favorite standard.

“A Salute to Heroes” performances by the Wind Ensemble and the FTC Concert Band conducted by the esteemed Professor Dean Karahalis as well as the Brass Ensemble conducted by Michael McGowan dazzled the audience. Three FTC graduate students, Soo Jin Kim, Lauren Lucente, and Peter Stumme were guest conductors showcasing their talent, too. It was an amazing tribute to the men and women who have put their lives on the frontline for our country.

Bravo to the musical performers! And, much gratitude to our military!!
