☀️ FTC Pre-College Summer Program
Only at FTC, high school students entering grades 10, 11, or 12 are invited to apply for the FTC Pre-College Summer Program (PC). This unique program offers students the opportunity to:
- Get an insider’s view into college life and learn valuable skills in Audio, Business, Broadcasting, Communication, Digital Arts, Multi-Media, Music, or Theatre Arts.
- 11th & 12th graders can earn up to six college credits.
- Reasonable tuition & Classes start July 6, 2026

The Long Island Media Arts Show celebrates Long Island’s Creative Digital Visual Arts Students with an Educational Conference and Juried Exhibition on Friday, March 27, 2026. The Conference invites Long Island High Schools to a unique experience that features Presentations, Workshops, and Demonstrations.
The Five Towns College Performing Arts Center presents Student Films and Animations, while the Five Towns College Gallery displays student Photography and 2D Digital Art Exhibits.

🎶 Great South Bay Music Festival
Where Sound Meets Stagecraft
Only At FTC, this summer, students are on the front lines of one of Long Island’s biggest live music events—the Great South Bay Music Festival. Whether working audio backstage, managing stage production, or capturing content for social media, students across Music, Audio Recording Technology, Business, Film/Television and Mass Communication programs gain real-world experience with real artists.
Celebrating its 17th Anniversary, The Great South Bay Music Festival is Long Island’s longest running, and largest four day music, art & cultural event. Situated at the Shorefront Park in Patchogue on the magnificent Great South Bay, it features over 55 performers on 4 stages, presenting legends, as well as local emerging artists in classic rock, jazz, jam-band, country, folk, zydeco, hip hop and funk.
Five Towns College students manage the Five Towns College Stage and the roster of artists performing on it during the four-day event. Read below and try to get tickets to observe first-hand what happens in the real world and how FTC students get the experience they need to prepare for the future.
🎬 LI72 – The Long Island 72-Hour Film Festival
Presented by Five Towns College, the LI72 Film Festival is an exciting 72-hour filmmaking challenge where students create a complete short film—including writing, shooting, and editing—using an assigned genre, character, prop, and line of dialogue. Five Towns College has opened the competition to high school students, inspiring the next generation of storytellers to dive into the world of filmmaking and multimedia. This year’s festival marks the first Cell Phone Edition – all you need is a phone and a story!

🎸 TeachRock at FTC
Only At FTC, is this interesting and educational program by the TeachRock organization that promotes music education and performance. It was organized by many well-known musicians. Intended as a way to ‘give-back’, the TeachRock team hosts regular educational seminars, workshops and opportunities for those in the field and in the classroom who can benefit from their expertise. TeachRock improves students’ lives by bringing the sound, stories, and science of music to all classrooms.
Launched by Stevie Van Zandt with the Founders Board of Bono, Jackson Browne, Martin Scorsese, and Bruce Springsteen, Teachrock.org has provided free, standards-aligned resources to help teachers, students, and families succeed for more than a decade.
🎤 Alive after Five Summer Concert Series – Production Crew Access
From the Classroom to the Control Booth
Only At FTC, the curriculum that stresses hands-on learning comes alive at Alive After Five, a premier concert series where our students run the show—literally. FTC students take over and manage the Stage outside The Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts all summer long. Audio Recording, Music Business, and Media students coordinate sound, lighting, and stage management in a fully professional setting.
