Undergraduate Music Audition Requirements
Performance/Music Education
Undergraduate Music auditions are required for acceptance into the Music Division. Whether applying for the Performance or the Music Teacher Education program, on-campus auditions are preferred. However, pre-recorded music/vocal auditions from applicants to ease the application process will be accepted upon request.
Professional performing artists, music educators, and music industry professionals benefit from matriculating in the Music program. Moreover, accepted students are required to take private instruction in voice or on a major instrument with an artist faculty member. Accordingly, the audition assists in course placement and an applicant’s technical proficiency. Furthermore, it helps to determine students’ potential for professional development.
