FTC Launches Mascot @ Pep Rally! SOUND Athletics Welcomes FADER!

Not all colleges have mascots but once FTC rebounded back with the Sound Athletics program last year in the USCAA, student support and strong team spirit created momentum for an appropriate mascot.

While it took a while to do a campus survey, tally results, design ideas, consult with experts and get the college’s needs professionally addressed, the end product was revealed today at the Pep Rally & Mascot Inauguration. The crowd cheered, the Pep Band & Dance Team entertained, and the Coaches and Basketball team members were announced. While student performances graced the stage, M.C. Jason Troy engaged the assembled college constituents and the launch of the Five Towns College Sound Athletics program feathered mascot, Fader, was complete!

Why Fader? All Audio and Music students know that the controls on a soundboard or audio console that raise or lower the volume of the SOUND are called faders . . .

Here’s to a great 2017-18 SOUND season! With much pride, FTC welcomes FADER!!
