The FTC Jazz/Commercial Music Division is thrilled to host Legendary Jazz Guitarist Mike Stern in the FTC Performing Arts Center on Thursday, September 18, 2019 during Common Hour. The students are in for an amazing professional treat as a giant in the industry immerses himself on campus for their musical benefit.
Mike Stern has received nominations for Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Jazz Album, and received the Best Jazz Guitarist, Orville W. Gibson Award (1997), Jazz Guitarist of the Year, Guitar Player (1993), and as one of the 75 Great Guitarists of all time, Down Beat (2009) and more.
