To all creative students out there . . . here’s a chance for you to shine among your peers!

It’s the annual Long Island Media Arts Show (LIMA) @ Five Towns College on Friday, March 20, 2020 and it should be a great experience for all.

Many local high schools sign up to participate in this educational day filled with art, multi- media, film, video and much interactivity. Starting at about 7:30 a.m. when the busses unload, creative high school students descend upon the College’s Dix Hills campus to showcase their best art pieces in many realms. There are literally hundreds of creative minds wandering the halls to attend presentations of video, photography, computer graphics, animation and all types of digital art displays. Together with their teachers and mentors, they share one another’s creations and also learn about the College’s academic programs that align with these various artistic and digital media areas that reflect students’ passions.

Spearheaded by the Eastern Suffolk BOCES and the Long Island Media Arts Show Committee-which is comprised of local experts in the arts in education community-more information about the event is available here: https://www.esboces.org/Page/306.

The day is action packed, but most importantly, it is education in the arts on Long Island for creative Long Island students and enriches the educational experience here exponentially. In a show of support for the community, Five Towns College hosts the event and has designed a complimentary T-shirt for all who register.  For those who wish to pre-register, please go here: https://www.ftc.edu/lima/

Looking forward to an amazing day!! Thank you to all who participate.
