FTC Welcomes Dylan Bell, Canadian Live Looper and Jazz Artist on 10/15/2015

Many times the low-key and modest atmosphere at Five Towns College throws the community off from what is really happening on this selective and creative campus. For example, while known for music and business, the talent, education and expert presentations offered to FTC students may not even hit the media radar.

In fact, on October 15th, esteemed musician, educator, composer, producer and a cappella jazz artist, Dylan Bell, will be on campus to present and perform for Five Towns College students. As a co-author with Zeke Sharon (Pitch Perfect 2 producer, etc.) of the book, A cappella Arranging, Dylan Bell has cast his musical web on the world and is instrumental in promulgating music education. His website states that his educational mandate is,” to help discover and develop the musician in everyone, and to share the excitement and passion I feel for music.”

The recipient of international awards i.e. the John Lennon International Songwriting Competition (Best Jazz Song, 2005), and a Contemporary A Cappella Recording Award (Best Original Song, 2006), Dylan’s arrangements have been recognized with accolades. As a child musical prodigy, Dylan Bell loves all that he does and focuses on producing music of many styles, including vocally driven music, world music, jazz and original songwriting.

Five Towns College is fortunate to host Dylan Bell on October 15th as he gives a master class to Professor Marc Silverberg’s Barbershop group. An amazing performance in the FTC Performing Arts Center in the evening is also expected.

The campus is alive and humming . . . stay posted for more details about this greatly anticipated musical event and check out more about Dylan Bell at http://www.dylanbell.ca
