October is a great month! Now that the weather is crisp and cool, the cool and crisp musical vibe is taking over campus life. Friday night showcased the Five Towns College October Fest at the Performing Arts Center. Orchestrated by 5 Sounds Records (a student group) and its President Michael Montesano, who coordinated the event, the student headliners included J-Payso (Joshua Burnett), DJ Gator (Michael Meli), Veronica Frey (Veronica Freitor), Oliver Then, and FourSix (Jahnei Clarke, Adam Amoedo, Steven Zino, Justin Greenwood, Zack Day). Other performers were: Eli Groves, Hassan Collier, Nicole Harewood, Kyle Francis, Shayla Whitaker and Robert Summers. Thanks to everybody for a great night!

On Saturday, the FTC Student groups collaborated to bring an awesome Fall 2015 Fest to the Residence Life Quad. The Open House brought interested students onto campus. Over 140 people visited campus! From a delectable BBQ to all things apple a/k/a the fruit, the sweet sensations of campus life imbued all who participated. FTC students are applauded for sharing their enthusiasm with the crowd. The omnipresent musical presentations featured Crimson n’ Clover (Deanna Probst, Nicole Gregory, Amber Hammerschleg), Veronica Frey, Zach Day and the Gospel Choir. A special shout out to Amanda McDonnough, Samantha Bielenski, Christian Altamura and Joy Grynko @ Residence Life for leading the charge!

Saturday brought The Liverpool Tribute band to the FTC PAC and the sounds of the Beatles soothed out the evening. At last, Sunday brought a day of rest to this busy campus as the student body and their famous leaders wound down . . . just in time to rewind for Monday. Weekends in Long Island are pretty awesome, especially in the fall.

A BIG THANK YOU to the entire FTC community!! The College’s ethos enveloped the Open House attendees. Many expressed feeling so comfortable here; the warm and enthusiastic community coupled with the great professional programs fit their needs. For many the choice of Five Towns College is clear already . . . so, if you are one of them, remember that only 200 students get to live on campus! The FTC community looks forward to welcoming one and all!! For those who couldn’t make it, the next Open House is Saturday November 14 @ 11 a.m.
